관사 16호_소제예찬 1927은 대전 소제동 철도관사촌의 1927년 목조 관사를 되살린 티하우스입니다. 기와지붕과 담쟁이 외벽, 자갈 마당은 그대로 두고 내부는 서까래와 보를 드러내 목구조를 공간의 골격으로 삼았습니다. 실내를 가로지르는 긴 석재 카운터가 옛 목구조와 한 화면에 겹치고, 장지문을 통과한 빛이 그 위로 퍼집니다. 좌식 방과 낮은 좌탁은 관사의 방 구성을 남기고, 증축부는 노출 콘크리트로 마감해 1927년과 지금의 경계를 드러냅니다. 전면을 유리로 열어 마당의 나무가 실내의 배경이 됩니다.
Gwansa 16 — Soje Praise 1927 is a tea house brought back to life inside a 1927 timber railway official’s residence in Soje-dong, Daejeon. The tiled roof, ivy-covered exterior and gravel courtyard were left as found, while inside the rafters and beams were exposed so that the timber structure became the skeleton of the space. A long stone counter runs the width of the interior, overlapping the old frame in a single view, with light diffused through paper sliding doors spreading across it. Floor-seated rooms and low tables preserve the residence’s original plan, and the extension is finished in exposed concrete so the boundary between 1927 and now stays visible. The front opens fully in glass, placing the courtyard trees as the interior’s backdrop.
