R:ounge는 역삼 GS타워 로비를 지나가는 통로에서 머무는 자리로 바꾼 상설 라운지입니다. 커튼월과 사선 브레이스가 드러난 아트리움의 높은 층고는 그대로 두고, 바닥에 긴 원목 커뮤널 테이블을 열로 깔아 큰 부피의 공간에 사람의 치수를 가진 선을 그었습니다. 좌석은 목재 벤치와 큐브형 스툴로 낮게 통일해 통행을 막지 않고, 커피 바는 원목 상판과 스테인리스로 짜 검정 석재 벽을 배경에 둡니다. 천장 조명 대신 세운 원통형 갓의 대형 플로어 램프와 그 사이의 큰 관엽 화분이, 사무 빌딩의 로비에 거실의 조명과 밀도를 들여옵니다.
R:ounge turned the lobby of GS Tower in Yeoksam from a place people walked through into a place they stay. The atrium’s full height, with its curtain wall and diagonal bracing left exposed, was kept as it was, and long timber communal tables were laid across the floor in rows to draw a line at human scale through a space of that volume. Seating is kept low and consistent in timber benches and cube stools so circulation is never blocked, while the coffee bar is built in solid timber and stainless steel against a black stone wall. In place of ceiling lighting, tall cylindrical-shade floor lamps stand between large foliage planters, bringing the light level and density of a living room into an office lobby.
